TOUR re Planet Rock Radio Announcement

Friday, May 31st, 2019 By Scott Colothan @scottcolothan

Rising British rock bands Collateral and Piston are joining forces for a co-headline UK tour this coming autumn. The ‘Stand Up, Shout It Out!’ tour will see the two bands play a total of nine shows together in September and October 2019. Additionally, Piston will headline their own headline show at Cannock Station on 13th September and Collateral will go it alone at Newcastle Trillians on 19th September.

Tickets are available from Piston's official website and Collateral’s website.

The tour announcement comes on the same day that Piston have premiered the video for their brand new single ‘Rainmaker’. Watch it here:

Mixed by Romesh Dodengoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Stone Broken), ‘Rainmaker’ is the follow-up to the single ‘'One More Day’, which was played on Planet Rock’s airwaves.

Both songs are lifted from Piston’s self-titled debut album, which lands on Friday 13th September 2019 to coincide with the tour.

Guitarist Jack Edwards says of ‘Rainmaker’: “It was the very first track we recorded for the album. You can hear all of our excitement in the track — we were all back together in one room and we tracked it right then and there!

“We love it and its not perfect, and we don’t want it to be — rock n’ roll has never been perfect. It’s a huge step in the new sound of Piston, it will easily stand there with some of the modern greats, but it most certainly pays homage to some of our idols.”

Kent rockers Collateral, meanwhile, premiered the video for their latest single ‘Lullaby’ earlier this month, which is lifted from their eponymous debut album – also released in September.

Front man Angelo Tristan says: “Lullaby is a song that has the basic feeling of the world we all live in today - a world where you are told to dream big but, yet ‘Be realistic’.

“I’d be lying if I’d said we’re not a pissed off rock and roll band like a lot of other bands out there. Lullaby has the simplicity, the power and emotion that you should expect to hear on Collateral’s debut album.”
