Rock Zone's David Wilson @ Trillians Newcastle

by David Wilson, Rock Zone UK (24-Sep-19)

Do you still get that special thrill when you hear a new band that just calls out to you?

David certainly does and after having heard their "4 Shots" EP over 12 months ago, Rock Zone UK were thrilled to be at Trillians Newcastle last week to witness the Collateral boys first venture into the welcoming arms of the North East's rock fraternity.

After a belting support from local boys The Filth Hounds the night was off to a great start with a Filthy twist on some NWOBHM style rock and roll

Then it was time for the main event and Angelo, Todd, Jack and Ben hit the ground running and the great crowd were treated to a brilliant display of Collateral' - taking lots of elements from some of the most well loved bands from the 80s and turning it into something most definitely their own.

These boys have the songs, the charisma and the passion to take things to a stratospheric level (seems the recent Bon Jovi cruise appearances certainly paved the way for this) and the coming months see them with a packed diary of shows for you to get yourself to and check out what the fuss is all about (including the rather wonderful SOS Festival). Even more exciting is the debut album will be unleashed in February 2020, although a little pushed back from the original plan we can't wait to hear it - especially after what Angelo told us about some of the treats in-store for us all.

They don't make them like they used to?

They do, you know and with all the hard work they are putting in Collateral deserve to be world champions
